Yesterday, Lilly Ingalsbee left her home around 3:30pm to visit a local park.  By 5:30, when she hadn’t returned home her parents contacted Westminster Police.

The police department immediately initiated a massive search and has been working around the clock to find Lilly. We activated the Jefferson County CART (Child Abduction Response Team), a multi-disciplinary team comprised of law enforcement and partners across Jefferson County. This team is able to provide vast resources and has experience and training in investigating missing children cases.

The following agencies assisted us in searching for Lilly:

Lakewood Police Department

Thornton Police Department

Arvada Police Department

Broomfield Police Department

Wheatridge Police Department

Golden Police Department

Jefferson County Sheriff Department

FBI

CBI

Safe Streets Task Force

CIAC

Westminster Fire Department

Jeffco R1 Security

Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office

Ralston House

Ultimately a tip from a citizen provided information which led us to locate Lilly in Unincorporated Jefferson County.  Lilly is currently safe and with law enforcement.

This incident is unfolding and we will provide additional details later this afternoon.
