Suspect arrested in attempted abduction case

WESTMINSTER, Colo – Officers with the Westminster Police Department have identified and arrested the man accused of an attempted abduction that occurred the morning of Oct. 25 near W 125th Ave and Delaware St.

Hours after the incident occurred (Friday, Oct. 25), officers with the Westminster Police Department located the suspect, Jeremiah Mullins, 31, in the 12000 block of N Melody Dr and took him into custody without incident. A black handgun was also recovered. This information was not immediately released to the public to protect the integrity of the investigation. After further investigation this week, police learned Mullins was suspected in a series of crimes.

This afternoon, the case was presented to the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office for an official filing decision. The District Attorney’s Office filed several charges including aggravated robbery, kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, aggravated motor vehicle theft and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. A judge has set a cash only bond at one million dollars.

It should be noted that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
