WESTMINSTER, Colo -- Unfortunately, shoplifting is a common call for service, and it’s disheartening to see our local businesses targeted. Last week, #WPD officers responded to a shoplifting in progress at a business near 92nd and Sheridan Blvd.
Thanks to a speedy response, a 35-year-old woman was caught attempting to steal nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise. Further investigation revealed she had an outstanding warrant and was also in possession of illegal drugs.
She was taken into custody and transported to the Adams County Jail on multiple charges, including theft and possession of narcotics.
It should be noted all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
