The suspect crashed his vehicle into the home of his ex-girlfriend's mother.

WESTMINSTER, Colo [UPDATE 9/8/2025] -- The suspect in Sunday's domestic disturbance incident has been identified as Matthew Curran, 30. Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office accepted the following charges on Curran:
- First Degree Attempted Murder (F2) (4 counts)
- Stalking (F5) (2 counts)
- Criminal Mischief (F) (5 counts)
- Second Degree Assault (F4)
- Child Abuse (M2)
- Driving Under the Influence (M)
- Resisting Arrest (M2)
- Crime of Violence (SE) (4 counts)
WESTMINSTER, Colo --- A man is in custody following a domestic disturbance incident in the Hyland Greens neighborhood late Sunday morning.
Shortly before 10:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of two separate incidents involving a vehicle and private residences.
Preliminary information indicates that the suspect first rammed his vehicle into the home of his ex-girlfriend’s mother before taking off from the scene. He then reportedly crashed into an unrelated residence. Afterwards, he returned and allegedly attempted to run over his ex-girlfriend’s mother multiple times before ramming his vehicle into her home again.
Neighbors intervened and were able to detain the suspect until police arrived. He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for medical evaluation.
No serious injuries have been reported. Both homes are currently being assessed for structural damage.
