Date: 01/05/2026
WESTMINSTER, Colo -- While on routine patrol near 72nd Ave and Lowell Blvd on Jan. 1, a WPD officer observed a man entering a vehicle at a gas station who had an active felony warrant for vehicular eluding and identity theft. Officers quickly contacted the man and a female passenger, later discovering the woman also had felony warrants for motor vehicle theft, criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the contact, officers observed drugs and paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle leading to the discovery of nearly 45 grams of methamphetamine.
Both individuals were taken into custody on their active warrants and now face additional charges. Another great example of proactive policing and keeping drugs off our streets!
