WESTMINSTER, Colo -- On February 13, officers responded to an apartment complex near 115th Ave and Pecos St just before 1 a.m. referencing several callers reporting shots heard in the area. The suspects took off as our officers arrived, but were quickly contacted and taken into custody.
WPD recovered two guns, one was stolen and the other was a ghost gun/unserialized. Detectives also located shell casings and several vehicles that had been struck by bullets. Luckily, no injuries were reported and this appeared to be an isolated incident.All three suspects (a 17-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old) are facing several charges:
- Juvenile (17yo): illegal discharge of a firearm, large capacity magazine prohibited - during crime, unlawful conduct involving unserialized firearm, possession of a handgun by a juvenile
- Marcqus Johnson (18yo): illegal discharge of a firearm
- Cameron Hall (20yo): violation of a protection order, resisting arrest and obstruction
Absolutely unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated here. Nice work, patrol!
