WESTMINSTER, Colo -- We’re sharing a look back at a powerful Every 15 Minutes program we partnered on with Westminster Fire Department, Colorado State Patrol and Standley Lake High School. This program features a realistic demonstration highlighting the devastating impact of impaired driving.

Just before prom last year, Standley Lake High School students took part in a simulated DUI crash scenario, featuring a full emergency response, student actors, mock injuries and an arrest. The experience left a lasting impression, encouraging students to consider how one decision can affect countless lives.

This program wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of the WPD SRO Team, the WPD Traffic Unit, the Westminster Fire Department, CSP, Flight For Life, Jeffco Public Schools, and the SLHS administrators and student participants.

We’re grateful to support initiatives like this and hope sharing it now continues to reinforce the importance of making safe, responsible choices.
