WESTMINSTER, Colo -- This one's for all the Animal Management Officers (AMOs) out there ... we appreciate YOU, especially our team here at WPD.
Our AMO Unit responded to more than 6,500 calls for service in 2025 and reunited 146 animals with their owners. This team is responsible for enforcing all of the City of Westminster ordinances pertaining to animals and then some (rescuing strays, reuniting lost pets, education)!
You never know what the day will bring or what animal (we've seen it all) could be wandering around Westminster! Happy National Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week! Thank you, AMOs!
