WESTMINSTER, Colo -- Several children now have a new means of transportation, thanks to WPD officers.
Over time, the WPD Property and Evidence Unit occasionally ends up with bicycles that remain unclaimed long after all required holding periods have expired. So, one of the School Resource Officers had a great idea: refurbish them and put them back into the community where they could make a difference.
And that's exactly what we did. Now, several of these bicycles found new homes with local kids identified through our schools and community partners as being in need. We love to see it!
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
