The Westminster Police Department would like to advise the public of a potential safety issue.

In the last five days there have been three incidents of attempted sexual assault in a specific area of the city.  The area is from 120th Avenue to 124th Avenue; between Huron Street and I-25.

On July 4th at approximately 10 p.m., a female was touched from behind near 123rd and Bannock.

On July 8th at approximately 8:30 p.m., a female was attacked from behind in the 300 block of 123rd Avenue.

On July 9th at approximately 12:30 a.m. (midnight) a male was seen masturbating on an apartment balcony not belonging to him in the 700 block of 123rd Avenue.

Our best information describes this suspect as a Hispanic male, possibly mid 20’s, 5’5” to 5’7” with a medium build. He has a faded haircut that is approximately 2” on top.  He was wearing a bandana and described as clean-cut.

The Westminster Police Department is advising anyone in the area to be aware of their surroundings.  As a general precaution, pedestrians in the area should consider travelling in pairs.

If anyone suspicious, or matching the above description is seen in the area, notify the Westminster Police Department at 303-658-4360 and press ‘1’ for dispatch.

These cases are active.  As such, there is no additional information to be released at this point.  The Westminster Police Department will update when there are releasable developments or if any additional safety information is warranted.
