The Westminster Police Department Citizens Police Academy begins August 20, 2025. The class meets every Wednesday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Westminster Public Safety Center located at 9110 Yates Street. On the first night there will be an orientation which begins at 6 p.m. with class following until 9 p.m. The academy will continue for 12 weeks with a graduation ceremony on November 12, 2025.
The Westminster Police Department is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This event offers a free and safe opportunity for community members to dispose of old/unneeded medications. These items can be dropped off at our collection site located at the Public Safety Center (9110 Yates St) on Saturday, Oct. 25 between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
