Date – April 26, 2023

Today around 2:17pm officers were dispatched to the 7200 block of Raleigh Street on a felony menacing.  The suspects pulled into a parking lot and there was a verbal exchange of words between the suspects and individuals who were loading furniture into a moving truck.  Both the adult male driver and the juvenile male passenger allegedly pointed guns at the individuals in the parking lot.

As officers arrived in the area they observed the silver sedan, matching the description of the suspect car, driving eastbound on 72nd Avenue.  Officers attempt to stop the car as it turned southbound onto Lowell Boulevard from 72nd Avenue.  The suspect car attempted to pass a car in front of them by driving in the northbound lanes of Lowell.  The suspect car clipped that car, causing minor damage.  The suspect vehicle then struck a truck, head on, at Lowell Boulevard and Elk Drive. 

The adult male driver and the juvenile male passenger were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.  At this time, there are no other reported injuries and there is no danger to the public.

Westminster High School was temporarily placed on secure during this event.

It should be noted all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
