Shooting Case #2023-14354
On July 23, 2023 at 6:16pm, Westminster Police responded to the area of 76th and Sheridan Blvd. on a report of a shooting.
The victim was walking his dog in the area when he was confronted by a male who exited a vehicle. The male suspect fired a gun at the victim, but the victim was not hit. The male suspect returned to the vehicle and fled. As officers arrived in the area they located a vehicle matching the suspect description and attempted to stop it. The vehicle did not stop and officers pursued the vehicle where it later crashed in the area of 48th and Lincoln St. Once it crashed two suspects fled on foot and both were arrested. Both suspects are adult males.
The arrest and filing of a criminal charge are merely a formal accusation that an individual committed a crime. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
