1st Degree Assault on a Police Officer

On October 20, 2023 Westminster Police were called to the 12100 block of Zuni Street to assist with a female subject who had barricaded in her apartment after assaulting an Adams County Deputy. The Deputy was transported to the hospital with non – life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

Westminster Police Negotiators and Mental Health Co-Responders tried for several hours to get the female to come out of the apartment. Ultimately officers with the S.W.A.T team entered the apartment and took the individual into custody.  She was transported to a local hospital with self-inflicted injuries.

One Westminster Police Officer was injured during the arrest. The officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Today, upon release from the hospital, Stephanie Jeanette Hadley - 33 years old was transported to the Adams County Detention Facility on the below charges:

1St Degree Assault on a Peace Officer       18-3-202(1)(A)

Failure or Refusal to Leave a Premise      18-9-119(4)
