WESTMINSTER, Colo -- The Westminster Police Department is investigating a suspicious incident and we need your help!
Sometime between the late evening of May 19 and early morning of May 20, an assault occurred near the Bowlero Bowling Alley parking lot in the Westminster Promenade. The victim told police he was walking to the bus stop to meet his girlfriend when he tripped over a trailer hitch attached to a parked vehicle. According to the victim, the vehicle owner, reportedly sleeping inside, started yelling and threatened the victim. Not wanting a confrontation the victim continued walking away towards the bus stop. The victim later woke up in his apartment receiving EMS care, with no memory of what happened after the encounter. The victim had sustained serious injuries and was found by his girlfriend inside their apartment who then called 911.
The victim described the vehicle as a Dodge Grand Caravan with a trailer hitch, but it is unknown if the vehicle was involved. If you were in the area between the late evening of May 19 and early morning of May 20 and saw something suspicious or have information, surveillance video, etc. that could be helpful to the case, please call WPD at 303-658-4360 and reference case number 2025-11327.
