WESTMINSTER, Colo [UPDATE 9:40 AM] -- The driver has been located and taken into custody. Charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.

WESTMINSTER, Colo -- The Westminster Police Department is investigating serious injury crash that occurred early Monday morning.
Just after 4:30 a.m., officers responded to a motorcycle crash at 92nd Ave and Westminster Blvd. A female rider was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Preliminary information indicates another vehicle was involved, but had left the scene. The vehicle was later located abandoned, parked in a parking lot nearby (Harlan St and Central Ave Blvd). At this time, officers are still searching for the driver.
The intersection of 92nd Ave and Westminster Blvd was shut down for a brief period. All roads have since been reopened.
