WPD officers arrest driver of stolen vehicle.

WESTMINSTER, Colo -- WPD officers responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle at a gas station off Sheridan Blvd Monday afternoon. Officers quickly learned the vehicle had been reported stolen a few days ago. Officers contacted the 24-year-old driver and took him into custody.
It was later learned the driver also had an active warrant for second-degree assault on a peace officer.
Officers transported him to Jefferson County Jail on the following charges:
- Motor Vehicle Theft
- Resisting Arrest
- Warrant Arrest
It should be noted all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
