WESTMINSTER, Colo – The Westminster Police Department is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that happened Saturday night.

Just before 6 p.m. on Nov. 22, officers responded to the area of Sheridan Blvd and W 115th Ave for reports of a crash. Upon arrival, officers located a man lying in the middle of the roadway. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man was pronounced deceased on scene.

Preliminary information indicates a man was crossing the street, not within a designated crosswalk, when a vehicle struck him.

The pedestrian’s identity will be released by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office once next of kin is notified.

The driver stayed on scene and was cooperative with police. This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be released when available.

It’s important to note all persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
