WESTMINSTER, Colo – A teen is in custody following an early morning stabbing in Westminster.
Officers with the Westminster Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance just before 3 a.m. on Wednesday at a hotel near 120th Ave and Pecos St. Once on scene officers located a man with stab wounds. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and is expected to be okay.
A juvenile male was taken into custody for suspicion of First-Degree Assault. Preliminary information indicates both individuals involved knew each other. There is no threat to the public.
This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be released when available.
It’s important to note all persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
