WESTMINSTER, Colo -- On Thursday, March 19, just after 10 p.m., WPD officers responded to a parking lot disturbance near 120th Ave and Huron St, that escalated when a man confronted a couple, damaged a vehicle, and fired multiple rounds striking a car.
He took off, but with assistance from Brighton PD, our suspect was quickly located and taken into custody. Officers transported him to Adams County Jail. Jose Maldonado Miranda, 39, is now facing the following charges:
- Attempted First Degree Murder (F2)
- Menacing (F5) x2
- Crime of Violence
We don't tolerate that type of behavior here.
It's important to note all persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
