WESTMINSTER, Colo -- This week marks National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, a time to raise awareness about available resources and recognize the incredible team of Victim Advocates here at the Westminster Police Department (WPD).

The WPD Victim Services Unit supports victims of crime in accordance with Colorado’s Crime Victim Rights Act (VRA). The team includes one coordinator, seven staff advocates, 20 volunteer victim advocates, and two volunteer administrative members.

Last year, they supported more than 4,800 victims and individuals impacted by personal tragedy, and were called to the field 523 times to provide immediate, on-scene crisis intervention. We are so grateful for this team and the impact they have on our community.

Please join us in recognizing this amazing group!
