WESTMINSTER, Colo -- The WPD Blue Envelope Program helps facilitate communication between officers and individuals with disabilities or other conditions who may benefit from additional support during interactions with first responders.
On Thursday, officers visited students in Westminster Public Schools’ Transition Program to share more information about the program. And, of course, we had to check out the patrol car!

The blue envelope provides a place to keep essential documents, along with information or instructions an individual chooses to share that may help officers better understand their needs.
Blue envelopes are available upon request at the Public Safety Center (9110 Yates St). For more information, please email the Police Department.
