25 Year Anniversary of Skiba and Chivers Homicide

Twenty-Five years ago, an innocent 9-year old girl, Sarah Skiba, was caught in the middle of a triple murder.  Sarah had gone along with her dad and his employee, Lorenzo Chivers, working at a moving company.  When they returned to the company’s truck yard, their lives and the lives of their families would be changed forever.  All three were murdered at the truck yard and detectives believe their bodies were removed from the yard in the moving truck to an unknown location.  To date, their bodies have never been found.  Detectives don’t know who, how or why this occurred, but believe someone can answer at least one of these questions.

The loss of three people in a brutal homicide is tragic, but when one of them is an innocent child it becomes that much harder to bear.  This year, Sarah would have been 34 years old.  Would she have been married or possibly have had children?  Sadly, her family will never know.  Regardless, Sara and Paul’s family and Lorenzo’s family can be reassured Westminster Police will never quit working this case.

Over the last twenty-five years this case has been reviewed, potential leads have been investigated, and evidence has been tested and analyzed.  Unfortunately, we have not been able to identify the suspect(s) of this horrific crime.  We are asking anyone that has any information or a tip regarding this crime to please come forward and share what they may know, as it may assist in solving this crime.
