This year (2024) marks the 41st anniversary of the commemoration of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. The Westminster Police Department has been proactive to ensure that crime victims receive support, information, and referrals to assist in their recovery and to afford them every opportunity to have input into the criminal justice system.

Our Victim Advocates play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our police department. They have a daily impact on our officers and the crime victims they serve. Last year our Victim Services Unit had contact with over 3251 victims of crimes.

The week of April 21, 2024, has been designated as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Please take moment to thank our Victim Advocates for their caring and compassion shown towards crime victims and the work they do to make our jobs easier.
