WESTMINSTER, Colo -- WPD officers arrested back-to-back motorcycle thieves Wednesday morning.

The first case went down around 9 a.m. near Sheridan Blvd and 80th Ave. Officers spotted a man cruising on a reported stolen bike, and shocker, turns out it wasn’t his. The 29-year-old was taken into custody and was also found to be carrying illegal drugs.

Shortly after, officers spotted another motorcycle with no plates in the area of Federal Blvd and 104th Ave. We tracked it down and discovered the motorcycle was also reported stolen, so we brought that rider in too. The 47-year-old was also in possession of illegal drugs.

The best part(s)? Both bikes will be returned to their rightful owners PLUS these arrests happened so close together that both suspects got to share a lovely ride together, in the back of a patrol car, headed to Adams County Jail. Bet they had a lot to talk about.

*It should be noted all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
