WESTMINSTER, Colo -- On Monday, March 9 just before 5 p.m., WPD officers responded to a store at the Orchard Town Center for a report of a suspicious person. The man was reportedly a known shoplifter and was busy filling a cart with merchandise.

When officers tried to contact him, he sprinted through the store and out the back emergency exit. Unfortunately for him, that plan didn’t get him very far.

Turns out the 43-year-old already had nine active warrants for his arrest (six of them felonies). He was taken to the Adams County Jail on those warrants and picked up some new charges along the way to include drugs found in his possession.

All in all ... not a great day for this guy, but we'll call that a win for our local businesses!
