WESTMINSTER, Colo -- It's the end of an era!
After 36 ½ years in public safety (29 of those serving Westminster), Public Safety Telecommunicator Stefani Shaver is closing her dispatching chapter.
Throughout her career with Westminster as a public safety telecommunicator, she also served as a SWAT Dispatcher (20 years!), Communications Training Officer, Peer Support member (17 years!) and Awards Committee member. If you've ever had to call 911 in our city, chances are you probably heard Stefani's voice on the other side.
In her retirement letter, Stefani shared, "As I turn the page to a new journey, I do so with immense pride in our work and confidence in the dispatchers who will continue this important mission. I will always respect the role of emergency communications and those dedicated to it. Thank you to the City of Westminster, the officers and firefighters, and especially my fellow dispatchers for the support, friendship, and countless shared moments over the years."
Stefani’s impact on Westminster Public Safety will be felt for years to come, and her legacy of service is one that few can match. We are incredibly grateful for her decades of commitment, leadership and calm presence during some of life’s most critical moments.
