The Every 15 Minutes program is a simulation designed to show the real consequences of impaired driving.
Just one day before prom, SLHS students witnessed a staged fatal DUI crash complete with emergency response, student actors & simulated injuries and a DUI arrest. This emotional experience challenges students to think about the life-changing effects of drinking and driving — not just on themselves, but on their families, friends and community. This simulation was put on by the Westminster Police Department, Westminster Fire Department, Colorado State Patrol, Standley Lake High School and Jeffco Public Schools.
